AT&T Minutes Minder v0.0.3

Funny how fast things change. Turns out I'm a better programmer than I thought. Go ahead and give this version a whirl, it should work fully.

AT&T Minutes Minder v0.0.3

P.S. If you get prompted to upgrade to "v0.5" do not install it. We're having trouble with addons.mozilla.org feeding out the wrong information. These new releases with the "AT&T" name should be entirely different extensions with different IDs but the site seems confused.

Works ok for me. No prompt to upgrade.
Thanks

Awesome! It seems to work (family plan, two people).

I don't get the update message (I had uninstalled cingular minute minder v1.0 though).

about:config still shows cingularMinutesMinder as extension name.

Thanks for working hard at this and making a lot of people happy.

This version (v0.0.3) only appears to show my main user's account. I assume you hetero guys want to see the HTML for the first page that comes up when you login, but when I first log in, I only see my main user's minutes. It's kinda misleading.

There's a "tab" for each group member, and a tab called "GROUP". Within each of group member's tabs, there are two more tabs, minutes and data.

Now, when you click all of those tabs, the web page URL still says "dashboardAction.doview" as the filename, so I'm not sure if your plugin can "navigate" these tabs, and this might be why you're seeing such different HTML for the same page from different people. Not even sure you can save that HTML or parse it from a plug in. I'm betting the HTML you want to see is when you click the "group" tab, because it shows the entire group's usage there.

However, if I click "Voice & Data Usage" at the top, I'm taken to https://www.wireless.att.com/olam/gotoUsageSummary.olamexecute?reportActionEvent=A_UMD_CURRENT_USAGE_SUMMARY
Maybe your plugin should just parse that page because it's a static URL and both family plans and non-family plans have this link, don't they? Anyway, that's the HTML I sent you earlier.

Great work!!!!

Did you forget the secondary password section? I have to have a secondary password before it will let me log on.

Thanks

fitch - Yea someone else pointed that out. A future release will cover that (probably the next one).

anonymous below fitch - I didn't touch the secondary password code, assumed it still worked. I'll troubleshoot it and try to have it fixed in time for the next release as well.

I think mine are labeled wrong... looking like the "mobile to mobile" is actually my roll over and the "roll over" are actually text messages.

Thanks!!!

My Mobile to Mobile should be the Rollover.

My Rollover is showing 1, but the only thing that my AT&T website shows as 1 is 1 MB of Internet allowed.

I can't seem to install. Anyone else having that issue?

This is working for me - thanks very, very much. I had trouble installing it over the old cingular minutes minder. Even after uninstalling the old one, it still would not work. After uninstalling both plugins and reinstalling v0.0.3, it's working great for me. Hope this helps someone else.

cheers,

Adrian

Hi there, the minute minder is working quite well for me - two questions, or feature requests in the form of questions... Is it possible to set it to auto-refresh every so often? I often have a browser window open for days at a time, and I have to manually refresh it to get current minutes. Second question - would it be possible to display rollover minutes too, either by adding them to the total of anytime minutes, or by having a format something like '500+234 Anytime Minutes Remaining'

thanks very much,

Adrian

I have mixed results. On first login, it displays proper minutes. When I click refresh, it says "Can't login..." and then when I go to my account I find that it is locked.

After resetting my password, I right-click on the "Can't login..." message to refresh it, but instead the message disappears and I'm back to my minutes remaining indicator.

If I try to refresh again, it says "Can't login..." and we're back to square one. Refresh enough times, and my account gets locked up again, whereby I have to do another password reset.

This will save me a ton of money. I recently got a bill for $756.84 due to overages. Seriously, this happened because I had 4000 rollover minutes and I had gotten into the habit of using them so they don't expire.

They didn't expire. But they did run out. They ran out and I didn't know. You can figure out the rest.

I was able to settle the bill for about 1/2 the invoiced amount, but it still hurt. Now, my phone usage has gone down.

But with this tool, I can see myself making much better use of my mintutes.

I think it deserves a contribution... mine is on the way!

Is there anyway to display both text and minutes used/remaining at the same time on the status bar?

Nice tool, why doesn't it work on may MacBook? Never had this problem with firefox extensions before.

Some people (including me) have a secondary password on the account. It is for verification when you call in to ATT to make changes. Does this plugin support this secondary password?

Can anyone verify whether this extension is still functional? I just downloaded it and I get messages "couldn't login to AT&T". I'm sure this is temporary but if you can confirm, that would be great.
